Supporting the Local Community

Our practice has been in Lymington for over 70 years and we have always played an active role in the local community. Today we remain committed to working in partnership with community groups and support a number of local initiatives that we believe make a positive difference to people’s lives.

Drs Anish Badami and Susan Bush are pleased to announce that on Saturday 12th November Solent House will be holding a free oral cancer screening service in aid of Mouth Cancer Action. This will be with the kind help of Mr Parkash Ramchandani, Clinical Lead for Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery in Dorset and Lead for ClinicalGovernance in Poole.

Most people have heard of cancer affecting parts of the body such as the lungs or breasts. However, cancer can also occur in the mouth, where the disease can affect the lips, tongue, cheeks and throat. Anyone can be affected by mouth cancer and sadly, more than 1,800 people in the UK lose their life to mouth cancer every year. Many of these deaths could be prevented if the cancer was caught early enough.

So if you are concerned or would like more information, come along and meet our team. All donations raised will go to Mouth Cancer Action!
