Dental Check-Ups

Regular dental check-ups are an important part of your overall health routine. By visiting your dentist regularly you can pre-empt and solve problems, avoiding the need for expensive treatments later on. Most patients require check-ups at six-monthly intervals but those prone to dental problems may require attention more often.

General dental check-up:

If your teeth are in good shape and you have maintained regular visits to your dentist. During this check-up we will throughly examine your teeth and gums and you will also have the opportunity to talk through any changes or concerns in your oral health.

Extended dental check-up:

If it has been some time since your last visit to the dentist or you are aware of any dental issues.

detailed diagnosis and written treatment plan: If you have more extensive problems or require specialist treatment.

We may also be able to offer you a free 10-minute consultation if you wish to learn more about a particular specialist treatment. This allows you to find out if you are a suitable candidate and whether a better alternative is available.

During any check-up your general health will form an integral part of our evaluation process: changes in your mouth can sometimes indicate conditions that you wouldn’t otherwise know about. We use state-of-the-art technology such as an intra-oral camera to take individual images of your mouth and teeth. You can observe these yourself on a screen while your dentist explains the details – and print pictures for further review. We also have a dental OPG machine to x-ray your whole jaw.

Your dental condition is recorded on a computer to help plan and cost individual treatment.
